Gambling is entertainment. At wanpar, we are committed to keeping it that way for every Pakistani player on our platform. This page covers the tools, limits, and support available to help you stay in control — because responsible gaming is not a policy checkbox, it is how we actually operate.
Five tools available in your wanpar account dashboard, free of charge, any time you want to use them.
Set a maximum amount you can deposit into your wanpar account per day, per week, or per month. Once set, your limit takes effect immediately and cannot be increased until the current period has elapsed. Decreasing your limit is always instant.
Define the maximum net loss you are willing to accept across all wanpar betting and gaming activity within a specified time period. Once you reach your loss limit, placing further bets will be blocked until the period resets. Your PKR balance remains accessible for withdrawal.
Configure reminders that alert you when you have been playing continuously for a set duration — 30 minutes, 1 hour, 2 hours, or a custom value you choose. The reminder appears as an on-screen notification and gives you the option to continue, take a break, or log out.
Take a short break from betting and gaming without permanently closing your account. Choose a cool-off duration of 24 hours, 7 days, or 30 days. During the cool-off period your account is inaccessible for wagering, but withdrawal of any existing PKR balance remains available.
Full self-exclusion permanently blocks access to your wanpar account for the selected minimum period. This decision is immediate and cannot be reversed before the exclusion period ends. wanpar will actively work to prevent you from re-registering during the exclusion term.
The wanpar support team is available around the clock via live chat on your account dashboard. Support staff are trained to handle responsible gaming requests — including activating limits, initiating cool-off periods, and processing self-exclusion requests — with immediate effect.
wanpar follows a responsible asymmetric approach to limit changes. Reducing your limits always takes effect immediately — there is no delay, no confirmation waiting period, no friction. Increasing your limits, however, requires a mandatory cooling-off period before the higher limit becomes active.
This design is intentional. If you are in the moment and feel the urge to deposit more or bet beyond your usual range, the delay gives you time to reflect. If you genuinely want to increase your limits for considered reasons, the wait is a minor inconvenience. If the urge passes before the waiting period ends, the system has done its job.
Important: Limit reductions cannot be reversed during the active limit period. If you set a weekly deposit limit of PKR 5,000 on Monday, you cannot increase it until the following Monday at the earliest — and only after the mandatory review period has passed.
| Limit Type | Decrease Takes Effect | Increase Takes Effect |
|---|---|---|
| Daily Deposit Limit | Instant | After 24 hours |
| Weekly Deposit Limit | Instant | After 7 days |
| Monthly Deposit Limit | Instant | After 30 days |
| Daily Loss Limit | Instant | After 24 hours |
| Weekly Loss Limit | Instant | After 7 days |
| Session Time Reminder | Instant | Instant |
| Cool-Off Period (activation) | Instant | Cannot be reversed mid-period |
| Self-Exclusion (activation) | Instant | Irrevocable during exclusion term |
Self-exclusion is a four-step process. It can be initiated from your account dashboard at any time, day or night.
Sign in to your wanpar account from any device. If you are having trouble logging in due to distress, contact support via the chat widget on the login page — they can initiate exclusion without requiring a full login.
Navigate to Account Settings and select the Responsible Gaming section. All protection tools — deposit limits, loss limits, cool-off, and self-exclusion — are visible and accessible from this single page.
Choose your preferred self-exclusion period: 6 months, 1 year, 3 years, or permanent exclusion. Read the confirmation information carefully. Self-exclusion cannot be reversed during the selected period for any reason.
Once confirmed, your account is excluded immediately. You will be logged out and access will be blocked for the selected period. Any PKR balance remaining in your account can be withdrawn by contacting the support team.
Choose the duration that reflects the break you genuinely need.
Recommended for players who feel they need a structured medium-term break from gambling activity.
A full year away from the platform — appropriate where gambling has been causing regular financial or personal stress.
Serious long-term exclusion for players who recognise a persistent pattern of problematic gambling behaviour.
Indefinite exclusion with no automatic reinstatement. Appropriate where gambling is causing sustained harm to yourself or others.
Problem gambling can develop gradually. Many players in Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, and across Pakistan do not realise their gambling has become harmful until the pattern is well established. Recognising the early signs makes it much easier to address the issue before it causes serious financial or personal damage.
The list on the right describes warning signs that suggest gambling may have moved beyond recreational entertainment. If several of these resonate with your own experience, wanpar encourages you to use the responsible gaming tools available in your account or to contact our support team for a confidential conversation.
Continuing to bet beyond your intended budget in an attempt to recover money already lost. Each bet feels like it will be the one that "fixes" things. This pattern accelerates losses and is one of the clearest indicators of problem gambling.
Hiding the amount of money being gambled, the frequency of play, or the losses incurred from family members or close friends. Secrecy around gambling is a strong indicator that the activity has moved outside a comfortable, sustainable range.
Seeking loans, using credit, or borrowing from family members to fund gambling activity. When gambling requires external financial resources to continue, the activity has clearly moved beyond the entertainment category.
Multiple unsuccessful attempts to cut back on gambling, set a budget and stick to it, or stop altogether. The inability to control gambling behaviour despite genuine effort and clear negative consequences is a defining feature of gambling disorder.
Using gambling as a way to escape stress, anxiety, depression, boredom, or personal problems. When gambling becomes a primary emotional coping mechanism rather than a leisure activity, the risk of harm increases significantly.
Allowing gambling activity to interfere with work, family responsibilities, social relationships, or important personal commitments. Any situation where gambling is being prioritised over meaningful life obligations warrants serious reflection.
Take a moment to reflect honestly on these questions. There are no right or wrong answers — this is for your own awareness, not a formal diagnostic tool.
Have you ever spent more money gambling than you originally planned to in a single session?
Have you ever felt the need to bet with larger and larger amounts in order to get the same level of excitement?
Have you ever made multiple unsuccessful attempts to reduce how much time or money you spend on gambling?
Do you find yourself thinking about gambling frequently — planning your next session, replaying past bets, or calculating potential winnings — when you are doing other things?
Have you ever gambled to relieve feelings of anxiety, stress, guilt, helplessness, or depression?
Have you ever returned to gambling on another day in order to try to win back money you had previously lost?
Have you ever lied to family members, friends, or anyone else about the amount of money you have gambled or the extent of your gambling activity?
Has gambling ever caused significant problems or conflict in your relationships, at your workplace, or in your financial situation?
Every person who registers with wanpar must be 21 years of age or older. This is not a guideline or a soft recommendation — it is a firm operational requirement enforced through mandatory CNIC verification before any real-money activity is permitted on the account.
CNIC documents submitted during registration are verified by licensed KYC processing services. Accounts where age verification cannot be completed to wanpar's satisfaction will not be activated for real-money play. Any account found to belong to a person under 21 will be immediately closed.
In Pakistani households where multiple people share devices — a common situation in Karachi, Lahore, Faisalabad, and across the country — registered wanpar users should take additional steps to ensure younger household members cannot access their accounts.
wanpar recommends the following practical measures for account holders who share devices with people under 21:
Responsible gaming at wanpar is not a separate department that operates independently from the rest of the platform. It is embedded in how the product is built. The deposit limit system, the self-exclusion infrastructure, the verification requirements, the session reminder tools — these are not additions built to satisfy a regulatory checklist. They are features that reflect a straightforward position: wanpar only benefits when players are having a genuinely good time within limits they are comfortable with.
Pakistan has a culture where cricket, in particular, generates intense collective engagement. The Pakistan Super League pulls millions of people into following matches, discussing form, and predicting outcomes. That passionate engagement is a legitimate foundation for sports betting. But wanpar recognises that the intensity of cricket fandom — especially during PSL finals and high-stakes international series — creates conditions where a small number of players may make decisions in the heat of the moment that they would not make with a cooler head. The deposit limit and loss limit systems exist precisely for those moments.
The most important frame for thinking about your gambling activity is this: it is entertainment spending, not investment. Like spending money on a cinema ticket, a restaurant meal, or a cricket stadium seat, money spent gambling should come from your discretionary entertainment budget — the money that is genuinely surplus to your essential expenses, savings commitments, and family obligations.
Before you place your next bet, ask yourself honestly: if I lost this amount entirely right now, would that affect my household budget, my ability to meet my family's needs, or my financial commitments for the month? If the honest answer is yes, that bet is outside the responsible gambling zone for your current situation. A good wanpar session is one where the cricket is exciting, the odds are interesting, and whatever the outcome, you can close the laptop and go about your day without your finances being affected in any meaningful way.
Responsible gaming does not mean never betting on a PSL match or never playing a slot when you have an hour free. It means:
Self-exclusion is the strongest tool wanpar offers, and it is designed for situations where lighter interventions — deposit limits, loss limits, session reminders — have not been sufficient. Self-exclusion is appropriate when you recognise that your gambling has moved into a pattern that is causing financial harm, relationship stress, or personal distress, and you need a period of enforced distance from the platform to address the underlying issue.
Self-exclusion is not a failure. It is a responsible decision made by someone who has recognised a problem and taken concrete action to address it. wanpar's self-exclusion system is designed to be immediate, irreversible during the selected period, and easy to activate — because we want that barrier to be as low as possible when someone reaches the point where they need it.
A note to players in distress: If you are reading this page because gambling is currently causing you serious financial or personal harm, wanpar strongly encourages you to activate self-exclusion right now. Log in to your account, navigate to Responsible Gaming settings, select self-exclusion, and choose the minimum period you feel is appropriate. The account will be excluded the moment you confirm. If you are unable to log in or need immediate support, contact the wanpar support team via live chat on the login page — they can activate exclusion without requiring a full account login.
When the self-exclusion period you selected expires, your wanpar account will not automatically reactivate. wanpar requires excluded users to contact the support team directly to request reactivation. This is an intentional friction point. Before reactivation is approved, the support team will have a conversation with you about the circumstances that led to the exclusion and whether you feel ready to return to the platform with new limits or safeguards in place.
If you are not ready, or if you recognise that returning to wanpar is not in your best interest, the support team can extend the self-exclusion for an additional period at your request. There is no pressure to return. The account will remain closed for as long as you need it to be.
wanpar's support team is available 24/7 to activate deposit limits, loss limits, cool-off periods, or self-exclusion. Sign in to access live chat on your dashboard.
